White Ribbon Day

15 December 2011

Maffra Secondary College White Ribbon Day Activities.

Gippsland Women’s Health Service has worked with Maffra Secondary College throughout this year with the Gippsland Respectful Relationship Education in Schools program. It’s great to see the culmination of this years’ work with a school led White Ribbon Day campaign.

We would like to congratulate the young men and women who have led a wide range of White Ribbon Day activities at Maffra Secondary College today.

These include recording oaths from community members, students and teachers; student leaders speaking about WRD to the media and at assembly; as well as the screen printing of these T shirts by Year 10 art students.

Thanks to the staff - Katie Hodge for enabling the events to happen; Daniel Pearton for agreeing to his nomination as a White Ribbon Day ambassador and Merinda Ries for facilitating the art project.
