What does Gender Equality mean to you?

Join us for 2017 Gippsland's 16 Days of Activism social media campaign with Make the Link.

Calling for volunteers

Tell us your story, we want to showcase a broad representation of community members sharing their views on ‘What Gender Equality means to you' and share them during 16 Days of Activism agaisnt Gendered Violence (25 November, International day for the Elimination of violence against women to 10 December, Human Rights Day).

The Aim:

  • To help general public ‘Make the Link’ and understand the importance of gender equality in preventing VAW.
  • Promote and normalise gender equality in public and private life.
  • To contribute to improved community and individual understanding of the issue of VAW and inspire commitment to making positive changes.

This campaign will have an intersectional focus, giving voice to people from diverse sectors of the community.  We invite you to inspire others to speak up and stand up.

If you know someone who would like to tell their story, be photographed and write a short article please consider inviting them to contact us. Images will also be featured on a poster, distributed across Gippsland prior to 16 days of Activism.
