Since this antidepressant drug was first introduced into britain in 1989 over half a million people have taken it, while over ten million prescriptions worldwide have made it the most popular psychiatric drug in history. Small wonder when such astounding claims are being made for it: that it can transform pessimists into optimists, turn loners into extroverts, improve business acumen and emotional resilience - in short, that it can fundamentally alter personality.

AUSTRALIAN SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS' USE OF ALCOHOL IN 2005
DRU WHI
WHITE, Victoria; Jane Hayman
Evidence and statistics on research of 12 -17 year olds. 20% of all 16-17 years consumed an amount of alcohol that exceeded Australian Alcohol Guidelines on at least one occasion prior to study. And when students do drink it is at levels that increase their risk of experiencing short term harms. 47% of females drank premixed spirits. More than 35% indicatedthat their parents had given them their last alcoholic drink. with the most common places of drinking are at home or at parties- the latter increasing with age. Those whose parents gave them alcohol, on average consumed less alcohol than those at parties. The majority of current drinkers did so under adult supervision. Finding suggest that many parents are not suportive of the children being unsupervised whilst drinking alcohol. In contrast the increase over in harmful drinking among 12-15 year old current drinkers is of concern
